I’m a big fan of nut mixes, growing up we always had mixed nuts on our table during the holiday season. They were always in a bowl on the table with the nutcracker ready and waiting. These Quick Maple Glazed Pecans are a family favorite.

Ingredients

Pecans – Use raw pecans

Almonds – Make sure they are raw and unsalted

Cashews – Raw and unsalted

Pumpkin Seeds – The pumpkin seeds need to be shelled, and raw and unsalted

Maple Syrup – Use pure maple syrup

Dried Rosemary 

Salt – Fine sea salt

Curry Powder – Use your favorite brand

Cayenne Pepper (Optional) – For a bit of heat, you can make it as spicy as you like

How To Make Sweet and Spicy Nuts

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the nuts and seeds.
  3. Add in the maple syrup and all the spices. Then stir until well blended.
  4. Place the nut mixture onto the parchment lined baking sheet and roast until they are lightly toasted and you can smell the spices.

Materials

  • 1/2 Cup Raw Pecans
  • 1/2 Cup Raw Almonds
  • 1/3 Cup Raw Cashews
  • 1/3 Cup Shelled Pumpkin Seeds
  • 3 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 3/4 Tsp Curry Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Dried Rosemary
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • Small pinch of cayenne pepper (optional) if you want it spicy

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325F°. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly spray.
  • In a medium bowl add all the nuts and pumpkin seeds, stir to combine.
  • Add the maple syrup, curry powder, rosemary, salt. Mix well.
  • Spread the nuts evenly on the baking sheet and roast 15-20 minutes stirring once until they are lightly toasted and you can smell the spices.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

If you like some heat add a very small pinch of cayenne pepper.
