Sweet and Spicy Mixed Nuts in a Cup

I’m a big fan of nut mixes, growing up we always had mixed nuts on our table during the holiday season. They were always in a bowl on the table with the nutcracker ready and waiting. Now, you can find mixed nuts everywhere with all kinds of spices and seasonings. They are easy to grab when in a pinch or your looking for a healthy snack.

These nuts however, are a bit more elevated and always a big hit at family gatherings. They have a few ingredients, comes together in less that 30 minutes and you can make them ahead of time.

What Type of Nuts To Use

We all have our favorite nuts to use and this recipe is easily adapted to your favorite nuts. Make sure the nuts you are using are raw and unsalted. This recipe calls for raw:

Pecans

Almonds

Cashews

Shelled Pumpkin Seeds

You can add pistachios if you like or walnuts, it’s really up to you. Adding the pumpkin seeds gives it another level of texture. It’s fun to play around with nut combinations until you find your favorite.
