Strawberry Basil Spritzer (Mocktail)

Refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day, this strawberry basil spritzer mocktail is quick to make and the perfect treat.

While I love a good cocktail most times I prefer something non-alcoholic. Enter this Strawberry Basil Spritzer Mocktail. It’s a great afternoon treat, uses up fresh basil and juicy strawberries.

Ingredients

Strawberries – Use one or two large strawberries

Basil – 2 large basil leaves

Sugar (Optional) – If you want it a bit sweet add 1/2 – 1 tsp of sugar

Ice – A handful

Unsweetened Lemon Sparkling Water – Use your favorite brand, I used Spindrift

Instructions

  1. Slice 2 large strawberries and add them to the glass.
  2. Add the 2 large basil leaves to the glass.
  3. If using sugar add that to the glass.
  4. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon muddle the strawberries, basil and sugar together.
  5. Fill the glass with ice.
  6. Top the strawberries with the unsweetened lemon sparkling water.

Strawberry Basil Spritzer (Mocktail)

A light and refreshing non-alcoholic drink for the summer season using fresh strawberries and basil.

Materials

  • 2 large Strawberries, fresh
  • 2 large Basil Leaves, fresh
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp Sugar, granulated (Optional)
  • Ice
  • 1 12 oz Lemon Flavored Sparkling Water

Instructions

  • Trim the top and slice the 2 strawberries and place them into a serving glass.
  • Add the 2 basil leaves to the serving glass.
  • If using sugar add that to the serving glass.
  • Using a muddler or the back of a spoon muddle the strawberries, basil and sugar, until the strawberries are really mushy.
  • Fill the glass with ice.
  • Pour the sparkling lemon water over the strawberries and ice then stir to mix it all together.
